Our Founder
Max founded HĀ after studying zoology and business management. This academic journey gave him a deep understanding of the animals he films, their behavior and habitat while providing him the skills to manage and market a company effectively. As a certified safari guide (FGASA level I), Max has a wealth of knowledge on how to share wildlife stories, how to respectfully capture stunning shots, and how to interact safely with nature.
Max explores various documentary styles, discovering his own…. Max, being largely influenced by Werner Herzog, likes to incorporate elements of poetic documentary into his wildlife stories. He also draws inspiration from gonzo filmmaking, which emphasizes the importance of the filmmaker’s personal approach and personality in the piece, rather than solely focusing on objectivity. This is reflected in his use of humor, exaggeration, and occasional profanity.
He articulates these styles through a guerrilla filmmaking approach, as he believes it allows for a more natural outcome. An unplanned and spontaneous way to enhance the authenticity and realism of the story being told.
